What our clients say

PUBLIC SAFETY

Relay designed and installed our P25 system without a single day of downtime. Our deputies went from dropped calls and dead zones to crystal-clear coverage across the entire county. That kind of reliability saves lives.

Chief Deputy Marcus Trent

Knox County Sheriff's Department

TRANSPORTATION

Our drivers haul through some of the most rural stretches in three states. Cell coverage is hit or miss. Relay's network gives us instant communication everywhere. And it costs a fraction of what we were paying for cellular.

Ray Holcomb

Tri-State Freight Lines

HEALTHCARE

The team at Relay treats our radios like they're mission-critical. Because for us, they are. 14 years and counting.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Quick answers for radio buyers

If your question isn't here, our team can walk you through the details on a free consultation call.

Do I need an FCC license to use two-way radios?

Yes. Any business using two-way radios on dedicated frequencies needs an FCC license. Relay handles the entire licensing process, from application to renewal, so you stay compliant without the paperwork.

How do I choose between Kenwood, Motorola, and Tait?

Each brand has strengths. Kenwood excels in commercial applications. Tait is built for rugged, mission-critical environments. Motorola is the standard for large public safety systems. We carry all three and recommend based on your specific operation, not brand loyalty.

What's the difference between analog and digital radios?

Digital radios (DMR, P25, NXDN) deliver clearer audio, better range, encryption, and features like GPS tracking and text messaging. Analog is simpler but being phased out. We help you plan the migration.

Do you offer short-term radio rentals?

Yes. We rent two-way radios for events, construction projects, disaster response, and temporary operations. Rentals include programming and support.

Can you integrate new radios with our existing system?

Usually, yes. We specialize in system integration and can bridge new digital equipment with existing analog infrastructure during a phased migration.
